“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.” - Matthew 7:24-27 NLT

My job summary includes overall business operations of the company for all the different departments including Project Management, Field Operations, Human Resources, IT, Data, Accounting, Finance and Administration. I work closely with the CEO and CFO every month while I am the final signature on every monthly cost report. My role is to implement the core values of the firm with a fresh and new take on how we do business in every department of the company.

As the Executive Vice President of the company, I was responsible for all project management related operations, standard operation procedures, P&L projections, recruitment, software, technology, monthly, quarterly, yearly project audits while building projects across the nation with $500 Million a year in revenues. When I started in 2006, the companies' revenues were $50 Million a year with 1 office. During my tenure, the company grew to a total of 5 offices and an annual revenue of $500 million. In 2009, I co-launched DeAngelis Diamond Healthcare Group which grew into a $100 Million a year division that was eventually purchased by DeAngelis Diamond. Led and taught monthly academy classes on project management related topics across 5 offices. Developed data driven dashboards and document control systems for the company to manage financials, change management, contracts, and any other project related need. Developed and maintained company SOP's, budget, KPl's and tracked metrics. On a local level in Franklin, I lead the pursuits with presentations, RFQ's/RFP's and developing a winning strategy for projects. Relocated to Franklin, TN in June of 2016 and launched an office. In 5 years, revenues grew from $6 Million to $110 Million with approximately 40 local team members.

M.J. Harris, Inc., Birmingham, Al

Traveling healthcare project manager across multiple states building ground up acute care hospitals. As the on-site project manager, I handled all aspects of the project from contract negotiations, material procurement, change management and close-out documents. The experience that I gained traveling around the country allowed me to grow in my career faster than my peers due to the exposure of different markets, geographical areas, different design firms and techniques along with building relationships across the country. I was the main point of contact and on-site full time for 6 years.

My desire for construction began working for my father's civil engineering firm in high school called Sain Associates in Birmingham, Alabama. I worked in the field in high school, college and began my career in Franklin, TN as an assistant project manager after graduating from Auburn University in Building Science. I have worked in the healthcare construction market ever since, working my way from a project engineer, Executive Vice President and an owner for a national healthcare contractor. My proven track record is built upon building trust and teams first while achieving the clients, designers, and subcontractor's goals on each project. Putting people before projects has been a proven value of mine. With 25 years of demonstrated proven experience in leading people, teams, offices, and projects from preconstruction through closeout. Managing offices and projects that primarily consist of negotiated team-building projects are in the following markets: Acute and behavioral healthcare, commercial, senior living, and multi-family markets.
